When creating new assets you often want to add a copyright or usage notice in the description or release notes section.

No problem – but the proper place for this (particularly if it’s the same each time) is to add to your account-wide default copyright clause.

To do this

  1. Login as account owner
  2. Click on the “Account” link at the top of the page (next to login/logout)
  3. Click the Edit Details link in the Account Details panel.
  4. Scroll down to the Default Copyright/Licence/Usage Details field.
  5. Enter your text you want for your default copyright statement. This will appear for all new assets you create but will not change existing assets (you can however reset each asset individually to use your default). Note to write the copyright symbol you must right it in valid html code (i.e. ©).
  6. Save your changes.

Now when you create a a new asset the default copyright will be applied.

This is a better solution to adding the copy to each asset on creation and will mean consistent copyright statements throughout your library.
